Cycle Charlotte and the Inaugural Crank It UP! Music Festival Roll into Historic Southend on May 9

April 23, 2009 ----- Come experience Charlotte without a windshield on May 9, 2009 as Cycle Charlotte rolls into the Historic Southend District to cap off Bike! Charlotte Week with a Twilight Social Ride and the inaugural Crank It UP! Music Festival.

The event begins at 5:30pm with a casual Twilight Bicycle Ride through Uptown and Charlotte’s beautiful tree-lined streets followed by the Crank It UP! Music Festival at Amos’ Southend.

Headlining in their debut live performance are The Byron McMurry Trio, featuring Bryon and Fitz McMurry of Acoustic Syndicate.

Also performing --- The Custom Grass Revue and Lindy Dobbins & the Red Velvet Manx.

This event is sponsored by Cycle Charlotte in conjunction with Bike! Charlotte, the Tarheel Trailblazers and the Dirt Divas, to promote a friendly and safe environment for bicycle transportation in the Queen City. 

Location: Amos' Southend / 1423 S. Tryon St / Charlotte NC
Ride: 5:30PM to 7:00 PM
Music: 6:30PM until
There will be plenty of parking at the venue but attendees are encouraged to travel to Southend via Light Rail to promote use of Light Rail for bike-commuting!
